I scream. You scream. We all scream for ice cream.

Every spring semester, my fiancé and I stop by New Baltimore Ice Cream for a delicious treat. Since we pass the ice cream shop on our to and from school everyday, we can’t resist when it opens every April. Last week, we stopped by for milkshakes. He got caramel, and I got strawberry. They were delicious!! Here lately, we’ve been trying to have more fun by adding little trips and stops like these into our everyday routine. It has really helped us to feel happier!
Gloomy days

Although it has been really gloomy outside today, I’ve managed to get a lot accomplished. I love when it’s sunny, but when it is, I never seem to have motivation. I get stuff done, but when it’s gloomy, I have nothing better to do than get everything done so that I can relax and watch a movie. Is anyone else like that? So far today, I have ran three miles on the treadmill, edited some photos and designed and printed my graduation party invitations. Now onto learning more about web design, messaging back a friend, painting my nails and reading the latest Allure magazine. With the way the weather looks, I will have no problem finishing everything.

(Kinda) Big News!

(I went to the Open Frame Film Festival at the Palace Theater)
As you may know, I am a design intern at The Canton Repository. As of last week, I got the news that I will be staying on till the end of July! Since my job search was not going as well as I had planned, I was so happy to get that news!! It gives me more time to search for a job, learn more important information and get more useful experience. I couldn’t be happier!
In other news, my fiancé and I went to a film festival last evening. It was a lot of fun! While designing the pages for the Ticket (a special insert of Fridays in The Rep), I read about a college film festival happening downtown. I usually never have the desire to go to events such as this, but I thought it would be fun. So my fiancé and I took a chance, and we were both glad we did. It was a fun night filled with about 10 or so films made by college students, ranging from two to 15 minutes. Most of them were pretty comical, but a couple covered very serious material. All in all, it was a great experience. At the end, we even got to vote for our favorite film. (I, of course, took a couple photos before and after. Chad says I always look like a tourist when capturing these types of shots. Haha!)
