Waste Of Time

April 20, 2012 § 8 Comments

(clocks around the house)

With the semester coming to an end, I’ve just realized that I waste a lot of time during the day. From my 45-minute commute in the morning to the multiple times I check my email or Facebook to the unnatural amount of time I play Bejeweled Blitz each night, I waste a lot of time each day. While these little “time-suckers” do waste my time, they also help keep me sane. If I did something productive every second of the day, I’d have no fun. I guess what I’m trying to say is that is good to waste a little bit of time every day, but it’s not good to overdo it. There’s definitely a limit to my laziness. What do you waste your time on the most?

Kelsey, I face a dilemma quite identical to yours… Internet, cable TV and worries about subjects that don’t really deserve to be worried about usually drain my time – but, as you said, some of them keep me sane too (except the useless worries issues). My “real” daily professional occupation is amazing, but hard and often very exhaustive. So, a portion of laziness could be very therapeutic! My creativity, personal artistic sense and brainstormings moments usually born amongst these moments apparently useless ;-)

My very best wishes to you! :-)

    • Flavio,
I feel your pain with the useless worries. I’m always worried about something. Good thing for me, my fiance always helps me calm down. What do you do to help yourself calm down? I try to think calm thoughts but it rarely works. :/ Hopefully you have a way to calm yourself from your worries. :)

Oh, thank you so much for your sensitivity and accurate perception! I’m glad that your fiance can help you. I haven’t found a true effective mechanism to neutralize some worries issues and their effects. It’s a real challenge to deal with those behaviours, but I have found great solace in photography, music, movies and when I go out to pleasurable places which have things that do well to my eyes, mind and soul. These measures and practices usually works…

Thank you very much for the opportunity to talk to you! – I clearly realize, based on my own feelings, that you’re an enlightened person and I feel that you have a beautiful and prosperous future to be lived! :-)
        Kindly, F. ;-)

      • You really are such a sweet person (& that’s hard to come by these days!). I love your genuineness. It’s refreshing!

I’m glad that you do have some outlets to help get rid of your worries! I feel that this blog (& getting comments from such nice readers as yourself) have really helped me to calm down. :)

Thanks again for your sweetness! :)

You’re always welcome, Kelsey! And thank you so much for your kind and sweet words – they make me feel happy! I’m feeling so flattered… It’s a bless when someone (you) realize the person who I am ;-) Yes, these days are rough days and is so special when we can find good people…

One of the best things I did recently was to create my blog – words are powerful tools and its a great pleasure when we can help each other regardless our geographical distances!

I’m sure that people with and around you (your family, friends, fiance) are fortunate to have yourself in their lives. ;-)

        From the heart, thank you!
        F.

(Oh, sorry if make any mistake when I write in English…)

      • Thanks again! And don’t worry about your English. You speak/write much better than some people. Haha! :)
